Commencement Lodging

Enjoy commencement weekend without the frustrations of finding lodging for you and your family. In an effort to provide convenient, low-cost accommodations, Conference and Guest Services is pleased to provide residence hall space for families and guests of graduates. Many guests find that staying in our halls during commencement weekend minimizes parking and dining difficulties and provides a memorable, nostalgic experience.

Lodging Package

Guests will have three different options for lodging during the graduation weekend. Guests have the option of a three-night stay or two-night stay. Lodging will be made available Thursday to Saturday nights, Thursday and Friday nights, or Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast and dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday are included for lodging beginning on Thursday and dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday are included for lodging beginning Friday. All meals are served at D2. We recommend that you bring your own blankets and, if you are not staying in an air-conditioned room, a fan.

Check-in on Thursday evening will be 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Harper Hall and Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at your assigned building.

All prices include meals and lodging.

Traditional Rooms

All rooms include two twin beds with a set of sheets, pillowcase, pillow, two towels, and a washcloth. Rooms are equipped with local telephone service and Ethernet connections are available. Residence halls feature one single-sex community bathroom on each floor with toilets, sinks, and shower stalls. Some students will still be in residence, so resident advisors will be on hand to assist you. All rooms include two dinner and breakfast meal cards. Additional children under 16 may stay in the room.

Air-Conditioned Rooms

We have a limited number of air-conditioned rooms available. These rooms all have a private bathroom. All rooms include two twin beds with a set of sheets, pillowcase, pillow, two towels, and a washcloth. Rooms are equipped with local telephone service and Ethernet connections are available. The rooms are carpeted with ceramic tile floors and granite counter tops in the bathrooms. All rooms include two dinner and breakfast meal cards. Additional children under 16 may stay in the room.

Air-Conditioned Suite-style Rooms

We offer a limited number of suites in air-conditioned buildings. These two- to- three-bedroom suites offer rooms arranged around a central living space and bathroom. All rooms include two twin beds with a set of sheets with pillowcase, pillow, two towels, and a washcloth. Rooms are equipped with local telephone service and Ethernet connections are available. Two-room suites accommodate four adults and include four dinner and breakfast meal cards. Three-room suites accommodate six adults and include six dinner and breakfast cards. Additional children under 16 may stay in the room.

Handicap Accessibility

If you or your guests have a special medical condition or disability and desire assistive devices or other accommodations, please enclose a brief description of your needs with your registration. A limited number of handicap-accessible rooms are available.
