New Hall West was completed in August 2009 and is located on West Campus Drive between the Smith Career Center and Harper Hall. The first floor is dedicated to Student Affairs administrative office space and the top three floors are used for student residence. The basement houses a live-in professional staff apartment, a Dining Services test kitchen and training room, and a laundry and vending facility for residents.
The residential features 133 large double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. The building includes three handicap accessible single-occupancy rooms. All spaces in the building are climate controlled with individual thermostats. The rooms are carpeted, with ceramic tile floors and granite countertops in the bathrooms. Residence Hall rooms in this building are reserved for upperclassmen.
