Resident Advisor Interview Process

Applicants interested in spring semester employment and those who will not be on campus during the spring semester will interview in late fall. All other applicants will interview during the spring semester. All living-learning community applicants are encouraged to attend the second interview in the spring.

Interview Format

The interview consists of two different interviews scheduled on two interview days. Candidates are required to attend both an individual and group interview.

Individual Interview

The individual interview consists of a follow-up to your application materials and other related questions conducted by a two-person team of current residence hall staff members. This is your opportunity to highlight your interest and qualifications for the R.A. position.

Group Interview

The group interview consists of a series of activities completed by a group of six to eight applicants, led by current Housing and Residence Life staff. The activities are designed to provide opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, leadership, communication, and other important skills needed for the position.
